The Simply Swing Ballroom & Latin Dance Band, directed by pianist Sandra Lambert, is now recognised as one of the UK’s leading ensembles for strict tempo dancing. It is currently the resident band at The London Waldorf Hotel for their highly acclaimed afternoon tea dances in the fabulous Palm Court Ballroom. Simply Swing was also the resident band for the afternoon tea dances at The Sheraton Park Lane Hotel, London.
We play strict tempo music for Ballroom Dancing, Latin American Dances, Dancing Competitions, Social and Sequence Dancing and Tea Dances and have a huge and varied REPERTOIRE from the 1920’s right up to the present day; reworking the classic pop standards of yesterday for a modern day audience.
We can boast band members who have performed in the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing live television band, The International Ballroom Dance Championships at The Royal Albert Hall and The UK Open Championships at The Bournemouth International Centre. So, you can relax knowing that the music, dances and dance tempos will be in good hands.
Simply Swing recommends its 8-12 Piece band line-up for strict tempo dancing but is extremely versatile and can also offer smaller line-ups for smaller events.
